Google Earth Lets UNC Prof Do Armchair Archaeology

After hearing of the Italian who stumbled upon a roman villa using Google Earth, UNC-Chapel Hill archaeologist Scott Madry decided to try it for himself. Since then, with help from the French government, Madry has confirmed its promise as a research tool, finding more archaeological sites in a day than he had in years of field work.
